Learn the basics of felting machine knit wool fabric. This fabric can be made on any double bed knitting machine. Use your washer and dryer to felt the wool fabric. Commercial sewing patterns and patchwork quilted blocks or fabric are used to create designer vests. Beginning double bed knitting skills and advanced beginner quilting and sewing skills are recommended. These are good selling items at craft shows and boutiques.

Create a festive holiday outfit while learning to knit four color double Jacquard on any double bed machine, (Japanese or PASSAP) standard or electronic. Following the instructions in your manual and in this pattern you will create the fabric for this vest or tunic. Use commercially available sewing patterns or chart your own (schematic included). Instructions for the edge trim are included. Disks are available for brother 930, or 940, or IBM.

These vests are knit in fairisle on bulky machines using worsted weight wool yarns. The pattern includes three different 24 stitch punch card designs and directions for felting fairisle fabrics using your washing machine and dryer. A schematic is included to design your own cut and sew pattern. A pattern for the knit edge trim is included.

Combine polar fleece fabric and machine knitting to create unique garments. You can knit on sleeves, bands, cuffs, and ribbing. Or, you can knit them separately and sew them on. Schematics for a vest and jacket are included. Lots of design variations are possible for these projects.

Iris Coat

Knit a lovely 4 color tuck birdseye jacquard coat in a beautiful Japanese Iris pattern. This coat can be knit on any electronic knitting machine and ribber with large pattern capability. Intermediate double bed knitting skills and advanced beginner sewing skills are recommended. The coat is knit in four rectangles and cut and sewn. For PASSAP or Japanese machines.

Scrap Yarn Car Coat

Mix and match your yarns to make a personal expression.  This worsted-weight, casual "go-anywhere" coat can be made on a mid-gauge or bulky machine, with or without ribber. This sweater will fit finished chest measurements of 38", 44", 44". For any mid- or bulky-gauge machine.

A dressy coat with side panels for ease.  Fairisle bands and motifs using hand-dyed yarns make this a dramatic statement. For standard-gauge machines. Sizes M, L, and XL.
